Through their award winning lifestyle photography Dave & Charlotte have travelled the world extensively, following their passion for new cultural and spiritual experiences.
Join them on this adventure of a lifetime visiting the key highlights of Peru in 7 days! Starting in Lima, travel to colonial Cuzco, the Inca heart, and explore the museums, markets, restaurants and ruins of the ancient Inca capital. Next, visit the picturesque sites and towns of the Sacred Valley; from traditional Ollantaytambo, take the train to Aguas Calientes, at the foot of Machu Picchu. Rise early to view Machu Picchu in the morning light, and enjoy a guided tour of the site before heading back to Cuzco by train. A once-in-a-lifetime trip!
ITINERARY
April 10th Lima
Welcome to Peru! On arrival in the Lima airport you will be picked up and transferred to your hotel. Stay at the Casa Andina Classic or similar.
April 11-12th Cuzco (B)
Take a morning flight to Cuzco in the heart of the Inca Empire. Spend the rest of today at leisure to acclimatize to the altitude and visit the city on your own. In the evening meet with Dave & Charlotte for a briefing of what is in store for the next week. The following day the group will meet with Dave & Charlotte and you will enjoy a private tour of Cuzco a photographers paradise! This private tour will allow you to take your time at each place. Steeped in history, Cuzco is the ancient Inca capital laden with massive stone structures and a network of trails leading to significant archeological sites. Stay at the Casa Andina San Blas or similar.
April 13th Sacred Valley (B, L)
Take a guided tour through this lush river valley and discover the rich history of Sacred Valley. Along the scenic journey visit the town of Ollantaytambo and the popular market town of Pisac for colourful handmade crafts. Visitors will overnight in an intimate setting overlooking the spectacular Sacred Valley. Stay at the Sonesta Posadas Sacred Valley or similar.
April 14-15th Aguas Calientes (B)
Ride an early morning train as it winds by the Urubamba River and ascends to the final destination, the Inca town of Aguas Calientes. Reputed for its thermal hot springs, visitors can relax and enjoy the sights and splendour of this last town before Machu Picchu. Stay at the Hatuchay Tower or similar. With an early morning start, visitors embark on a guided tour and learn about the mysteries of this ancient city that continues to perplex archeologists. Explore the various districts, architecture and the intricate road system leading to the ancient city’s historic buildings. In the evening return to Cuzco. Stay at the Casa Andina San Blas or similar.
April 16th Depart Cuzco (B)
Today you will have an included flight from Cuzco to Lima in the afternoon where your tour will end.

April 12,13 & 15th will be full workshop days. On the evening of the 15th Dave and Charlotte will provide their feedback.

In the rare case that we don’t reach our minimum group size you will be notified by our cut off date of February 15th 2010 and your deposits will be refunded.
